Name: Kaiba Seto His father died when he was young and his mother died giving birth to use. The present CEO of KC after Gozaburo. He used to smile, back at the orphanage. Now he's become unfeeling. He's also very - very obsessed with the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. He designed the Battle City Tournament to defeat Yugi. Gozaburo taught him that to lose is to die, so Kaiba has conquered every feat thrown in front of him - that's why Exodia was such a crushing defeat for him. |

Name: Kaiba Mokuba Mokuba, Kaiba's younger brother, receives the key to the company when Kaiba loses to Yugi. He sets out to DK to save his brother, but ends up being a hostage himself. After DK, he helped organize BC. He was brainwashed by Noa in Virtual World. Before Virtual World ended, he told Noa that Kaiba could build Noa a robot body, and he can come back with him. This brotherhood even after he brainwashed him. This is what turned Noa's heart at the end. Then, he joined Kaiba in DOOM. |

Name: Kaiba Noa Gozaburo's true son. When he was six years old, Noa was run over by a truck. In a desperate attempt to fight death, Gozaburo Kaiba hooked Noa's mind up to a super computer. At first Noa was happy, living in this computer-generated dream world. But soon he grew tired of it's perfection, and discovered he could manipulate it as he wished. Noa become God of the Virtual World, and is responsible for bringing Yugi, Kaiba, and the others in. He too was erased from existence when the Fortress was destroyed, but not before regaining his sense of humanity and saving Seto Kaiba's life |

Name: Kaiba Gozaburo Before Seto Kaiba took over, Gozaburo was CEO of Kaiba Corp and produced war machines, not games. He adopted Mokuba and Seto from the orphanage when he lost a chess game to young Seto. After that, he placed Seto in an excellerated program, teaching him advanced economics, game strategy, mathematics, foregin languages, social studies, and much more. Six years later, Seto manipulated the board members and his brother Mokuba in an elaborate scheme to own 51% of Kaiba Corp, making him the new owner. As a result, Gozaburo Kaiba threw himself out a window, telling Seto this was his last lesson for him: to lose is to die. Later, in the Virtual World, Gozaburo planned revenge on his adopted son by ensnaring him in this virtual prison. He and Seto dueled for ownership of the current CEO's body, and when he lost, his existence was completely erased when the Floating Fortress was destroyed by a Kaiba Corp missle he had designed. |

Name: Katsuka Jonouchi Strives to become a True Warrior of Duel Monsters. Jonouchi has a tendency to over-talk his gaming abilities. As a symbol of his desire to become a true Warrior, he uses Warrior monsters in all of his dueling decks - from Flame Swordsman to Giltia the Lightning. He places second in DK, fourth in BC, and doesn't make it past the second round in KC Grand Prix. In BC, his whole goal was to duel Yugi in the Final Round, and win back his Red-Eyes Black Dragon, proving his accomplishment in becoming a true Warrior. This dream was cut short by Malik's Egyptian god card Ra. |

Name: Honda A minor character in both manga and anime. Honda is Jonouchi's lifelong friend. He prefers to fight his way out of a problem rather than duel. |

Name: Anzu Yugi's friend since childhood. She aspires to go to NYC and become a ballet dancer, but until then she roots for Jonouchi and Yugi from the sidelines with Honda. She gives Atemu the bracelet before he enters Memory World. |

Name: Bandit Keith Howard The Inter-continental champion. He was humiliated by Maximilliean Pegasus in a tournement, when Pegasus wrote down Keith's next move and had an 8-year-old beat Keith instead. He seeked vengence for this and joined the DK tourament. He lost to Jonouchi in DK. His fate in the anime and manga are different beyond this point. In the manga, Pegasus conducted a punishment game, and Keith hallucinated that his hand become a revolver, and in Russian Roulette style, shot himelf. In the anime, he was thrown into the sea, found by the Ghouls and was made one of them. |

Name: Bakura Ryou A weak exchange student from China. His father is always away on business trips, and his mother and sister are dead. He writes to his dead sister as a way of coping with the lose. His father brought home the Sennen Ring from a business trip to Cairo, Egypt. Later, Bakura's only friends went into a coma after playing a game of Monster World (board game) with him, but Bakura couldn't remember what happened. Again, he made friends, this time with Yugi Motou, Honda, Anzu and Jonouchi. Once they played a game with Bakura, Thief Bakura's soul took over, and from that point on was in constant competition with the Pharoah. In DK, he tried again to rob him of the Sennen Puzzle. He tried again in Battle City, but lost. Once everyone went to Memory World, Bakura was finally released from the spirit of Thief Bakura, but was still influenced by Zork. So, he confronted Yugi one more time - and failed. |

Name: Theif Bakura The sole survivor of the massacre of Kenalra, the City of Theives. When he witnessesed his family and friends boiled alive to created instruments of power for the Pharoah, he lost his innocence and his soul become corrupt, allowing the dark power of Zork Necrophious to enter him. He became known as the king of theives, and is responsible for Mahaado's death. After the events of Memory World, his spirit was sealed within the Sennen Ring, and was later united with Ryou Bakura. He seeks to obtain all of the Sennen Items to one day rule the world. |

Name: Insector Haga He defeated Rex in a televised tournament and won a free pass to DK, and the card Serpent Night Dragon. He threw Solomon Motou's Exodia pieces overboard on the way to DK, and once there, lost to Yugi in his first duel. In BC, he dueled Jonouchi, and once again lost, forfeiting his Insect Queen (which was never any help for Jonouchi). When he heard about Yugi being invited to America by Pegasus, he and Rex suspected they were going there for a new rare card, so they snuck along. Found by DOOM, they become members and dueled Yugi and Jonouchi on a train. Rex lost to Jonouchi, and Haga severely lost to Yugi. "DORO! MONSTER CARDO!" |

Name: Ishtar Malik Raised as a tomb keeper, Malik is very knowledgable in the Scriptures of ancient Egypt. When he was forced to take the tomb keeper's initiation, the darker side of his personality took a more dominent role in his mind, born from the hatred he had towards his father of never letting him see the outside world, mainly the sun. His sister snuck him outside once, and when he returned, found his father whipping Rishid, his loyal friend and servant. This caused his dark side to re-emerge, take up the Sennen Rod, and drove the dagger end through his father's heart. Afterwards, Rishid and Malik fled the tomb keepers. He devoted his life to killing the Pharoah, who he blames for wasting so many years of his life, and so many lives of past generations. So he formed the Ghouls, and went out stealing rare cards, including Osiris the Sky Dragon and Sun God Ra - his personal favorite. Malik's dark side was defeated in the Final Round of BC. |

Name: Ishtar Isis Malik's older sister who is always looking out for her little brother. She took responsibility of the Sennen Necklace after Malik and Rishid fled. Once she put it on, it showed her visions of the event that would take place in BC. Between then and her conversation with Seto Kaiba, when she gave him Obelisk the Tormentor, these events occured: Pegasus asked her and her archelogy organization to bury the three God cards,and Malik attempted to steal Obelisk from her. She joined BC in hopes of rescuing her brother, but failed. Later, she, her brother and Rishid joined Yugi and the others in the Ceremonial Battle. |

Name: Rishid Abondoned as a baby and found by Malik's mother. He was originally planned to be the heir of the Tomb Keepers, until Malik was born. He took the role of guardian and friend to Malik, but was always abused by the father. His bond with Malik is all that stands in the way of Malik's dark side taking over, and when he was knocked unconscious by Ra, this dark side was finally free to be the dominent mind. |

Name: Otagi The creator of the board game Dungeon Dice Monsters. He idolized Maximillean Pegasus, who promised he would fund the mass market of Otagi's game once he won his Duelist Kingdom tournament. When he dissapeared afterwards, Otagi was crushed, and vowed vengence of Yugi Motou for ruining his dreams. He took Yugi's Puzzle and played a game of Dungeon Dice with him. Every turn, Otagi removed one piece from the puzzle. In the anime, Otagi returns after DDM, but not in the manga. In the anime, he takes a minor role, like that of Honda or Mokuba. His dueling skills are better than newbie, but he is no match for people like Kaiba or Yugi. |
